Course Summary

The Phil Emmanuel Master Class

Living legend Phil Emmanuel has played on stage with the likes of Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Hank Marvin and Chet Atkins to name a few. He has recently completed a tour of the USA with his brother Tommy Emmanuel and the Australian All Star Band.

Soon, he'll be playing on stage with you as part of your final assessment for the Phil Emmanuel Master Class at Sunshine Coast TAFE where you will perform a song live in concert with Phil.

Mr "Nice Bloke" Phil Emmanuel will tutor you in partnership with his understudy, guitar expert, Glen Knox. Glens's role will be to follow up on what Phil has demonstrated to the group as a whole, and to assist you in the understanding of Phil's unique scales, chords and techniques. Glen will be taking two classes for Phil in May, as Phil has some major interstate bookings he must complete during this period.

All master class students will have a song or tune chosen for them by Phil Emmanuel to rehearse over the time period with session bassist Aaron Partridge and session drummer Peter Keown. This will be the song that you will perform with Phil on stage in a concert at the Mooloolaba campus of Sunshine Coast TAFE. As a memento of the night, each student will receive in the mail a concert DVD after it has been edited.

All form fields are required.
