Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)


If you're involved in the service and supply of alcohol, make a responsible decision to enrol in a short course in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) at Sunshine Coast TAFE. By law you are required to have a current RSA certificate within 30 days of commencing employment. On completion of this course you will receive a Certificate for Responsible Service of Alcohol issued by the Liquor Licensing Division.

During this course, you will gain general skills and knowledge regarding responsible service of alcohol under QLD legislation. You'll learn about: identifying customers to whom service may be refused; risk assessment; assisting alcohol affected customers; assisting customers to drink within appropriate limits; giving accurate information to customers about alcoholic beverages and types and strengths; standard drinks; alcohol percentages of a range of frequently served drinks; assessing intoxication levels; security; staff training; and noise

Students will also receive a Certificate for Responsible Service of Alcohol issued by the Liquor Licensing Division.
