Course Summary

Introduction to welding (MIG, STICK or TIG)


If you want to get a basic grasp of welding, enrol in a short course in Introduction to Welding (MIG, STICK or TIG). This short hobby course offers an introduction to welding for the home handy person. The course covers safety, theory of welding and practical skills. You may gain practical experience in STICK, MIG or TIG welding.

Students should arrive on first day without a project as learning needs will be discussed on the day. Scrap metal is supplied for projects.

All form fields are required.

Entry Requirement :

Students need to bring protective equipment. Welding gloves, welding helmet, fireproof long sleeve shirt and long trousers (jeans and cotton shirt are acceptable), and steel cap boots.

Award Information :

Statement of Participation - This is non accredited training - participants will NOT gain any qualification to use in the workplace.
