This post trade course is designed for licensed plumbers that need an endorsement to their existing plumbing licences required by law. This endorsement then allows them to legally test and maintain backflow prevention devices within the State of Queensland.


The two licence classes that this unit addresses are: a Plumbers Licence or a Restricted Licence. The Plumbing Industry Council may issue a restricted licence, on a condition that the board considers it necessary or desirable for the licensees to competently practice the trade.


Entry into Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices (Plumbing) generally follows the completion of a trade qualification such as an apprenticeship in plumbing. Entrants must have an appropriate qualification to be eligible for an endorsement to their plumbing licence as issued by the Plumbing Industry Council within the state of Queensland.
