Chainsaw operations - Level 1


If you're looking into a career where you'll hear the buzz of chainsaw you're going to love the sound of this - in just two days you can complete a course in Chainsaw Operations - Level 1 at Sunshine Coast TAFE. You'll learn about chainsaw safety and the operation of a chainsaw in accordance with appropriate Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, Code of Practice and manufacturer's standards.


The course also covers: chainsaw maintenance and how to carry out pre-start and post operation checks of the chainsaw in accordance with all legislative requirements and relevant standards. You'll learn basic chainsaw cuts and how to carry out basic chainsaw cutting techniques accurately at pre-determined points in accordance with all legislative requirements and relevant standards.

This course meets Australian requirements for chainsaw operations in the workplace.

All form fields are required.

Entry Requirement :

Students are required to wear steel cap boots for the whole course. All other Personal Protective Equipment will be supplied by Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE.
