Course Summary

Basic Barista

Wake up and smell the coffee! If you want to become a barista, you'll need to complete the Basic Barista short course at Sunshine Coast TAFE so you can professionally prepare and serve a range of espresso coffees. We'll teach you how to operate and coffee making equipment including the espresso machine and coffee grinder.

You'll learn about

  • Preparing and serving different styles of coffee
  • Presentation techniques
  • Frothing milk
  • Creating the perfect espresso
  • Roasting and blending coffee beans
This program is ideal if you're operating in a cafe establishment or seeking employment in a variety of hospitality areas.

All form fields are required.


Entry Requirement :

Students must wear closed in shoes. Long sleeves and long pants are desirable.

You will receive a textbook, this cost is included in the course fees.
