This qualification is also a great opportunity if you are wishing to upgrade your skills in line with current best business practice. Topics covered include new and emerging business technologies, online engagement, project management, innovation and sustainability practices, website development and optimisation, finance, team leadership, HR and staff processes, OH & S and marketing and management.

On completion of this course, you'll have developed your skills and knowledge across a wide range of business functions. A range of competencies will be covered from advertising, business administration, IT, human resource management, marketing and management. This course may also act as a pathway to further study.

Information :

Course commences Tuesday 10th July, 2012.
Orientation is Monday 9th July, 9am-12pm. Lecture Theatre Maroochydore Campus.

July 2012 intake is only for students who have completed the Certificate IV in Business. This course runs for 6 months. Please contact the teacher prior to enrolling on 5457 1000.

February 2013 intake is for new students. Entry into this program is through QTAC application. This course runs for 1 year.

Course timetable is 5 days per week.

It is an intensive program that involves attendance on-campus, some involvement off campus with a live work project and an equal amount of time devoted to home study to fulfill all the course requirements.

 

Career Prospects :

Career options include - team leader, administrator, project officer, program coordinator, operations manager in both private and government sectors. 

Academic Entry Requirements :

You must have successfully completed year 12 (or equivalent) or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicates likely success in completing the course.

For 2nd semester entry a Certificate IV Business Administration or Certificate IV Financial Services Accounting is preferred or by interview with the teacher.

 

English Language Requirements :

TAFE Queensland requires proficiency in the English language before you can begin formal studies. This is determined by one of the following prerequisites:-

  • International English Language Testing System IELTS academic module score of 5.5 with no individual score less than 5
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL - score of 530 PBT or 197 CBT
  • Successful completion of an acceptable formal course where the medium of instruction was English. This does not include ELICOS
  • Completion of Stage 2 minimum Direct English Entry Program - University of the Sunshine Coast
  • Swedish students - V VG or MVG in English A andamp English B on your School Leaving Certificate
 

Additional Requirements :

Textbooks will be required for this course and they are not included in tuition fees. Students should allow approx AUD $225.
