A Certificate IV Fitness will fast track your career in the fitness industry. The Sunshine Coast TAFE offers a course that'll launch you into a role as a fitness trainer. You'll learn everything fitness including advanced exercising programming and postural appraisal, exercise science, specific populations, motivational psychology and body fat loss. Areas of specialisation include personal training, older adult training, children and adolescent training.
We'll help you gain a greater understanding of nutrition, sports injury rehabilitation, postural screening, fitness equipment, and we'll show you how to work with older adults. Other areas of study include working with children and adolescents, psychology and physiology.
On successful completion of this one year, full time course you can register as a Fitness Trainer (including the 3 specialisations of Personal Trainer, Children and Adolecent Trainer and Older Adult Trainer).

| Further Study : | Successful completion of Certificate IV in Fitness can lead to studies in both a Diploma of Sport and Recreation and a Diploma of Fitness. The Diploma of Fitness provides an articulation pathway to Sunshine Coast University in the School of Exercise Science. |
