Diploma of Reflexology (HLT51712)

(Domestic Students)


React to your desire to learn about reflexology by enrolling in a Diploma of Reflexology at Sunshine Coast TAFE. This course is designed for existing health professionals to upgrade their skills or new health care professionals. It involves understanding, theory and practical application of reflexology through the treatment of the feet and hands, which corresponds and mirrors the different parts of the body to bring about therapeutic effects.

You’ll learn how to: maintain personal health and awareness in a professional responsibility; work within a reflexology framework; prepare for a reflexology treatment; provide reflexology treatment; and monitor and evaluate reflexology treatments.

On completion you’ll be competent in reflexology practice and the general provision of reflexology treatment. You may be self-employed as independent practitioner or work in a larger health service.

Entry Requirement : Those with a Diploma (HLT50307) of Massage can enrol directly this course.

Other complimentary health care professionals or individuals will be able to complete this course, but will also need to complete further competencies to be awarded the full Diploma of Reflexology.

If you do not meet the entry requirements please complete an application and the Teacher will contact you to map your particular training pathway.

 
Assessment Information : Students will be assessed via various modes including; assignments, tests, oral questioning, observation and third party reports. Assessment is competency based and requires the completion of all projects and assignments, written and/or practical, as set out within the TAFE student handbook.

Cost Details : Because you can choose your own study options the cost of this course will depend on the programs you select. An estimate of costs can be made at your request, but fees will only be confirmed when you enrol.
