This qualification will be a great boost to your CV as almost all businesses could benefit from someone with the skills this course provides. After you have successfully completed this course you can continue for another 6 months to complete the Diploma of Accounting which creates a pathway to University if desired.
This qualification covers the skills to contribute to the financial operation of business or organisations. The areas covered include keeping financial records both manually and using a computer accounting system, operating a payroll system, preparing BAS and IAS returns, managing assets, awareness of legal issues that affect business and budgeting.

| Career Prospects : | This qualification satisfies requirements for entry into the Diploma of Accounting. Employment in a range of businesses undertaking duties such as completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax returns, operational reporting, budget preparation, supervision of computer-based systems, management of small offices. |
| Entry Requirement : | You must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course. |
| Assessment Information : | Students may be assessed via various modes including; assignments, tests, oral questioning, observation and third party reports. Assessment is competency based and requires the completion of all projects and assignments, written and/or practical, as set out within study guides or workbooks. |
