Certificate III in Tourism - VET in Schools (SIT30107)
(Domestic Students)
If you're interested in tourism, why not start your studies while you are still at high school? This program is only available to current high school students to complete as part of their senior studies.
This program will introduce you to the tourism industry and will prepare you to work in a travel sales environment helping customers organise and book their dream holidays. You'll learn all the skills you need to work in a travel sales office including professional telephone communication, producing business documents, controlling computerised reservations, preparing quotes and selling tourism products and services.

| Career Prospects : | On successful completion of this course you may pursue careers including Travel Consultant, Airline Sales or Reservations Officers, Wholesale Consultants, Tourist Information Officer or other similar travel and tourism organisations. | Entry Requirement : | Students MUST HAVE COMPLETED YEAR 10 and be attending year 11 in 2014 (Special circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis) Students MUST PROVIDE the following at time of enrolment: 1. | Assessment Information : | Assessment is undertaken throughout the course both in practical and theory exercises. Assessment is competency based and requires the completion of all projects and assignments, written and/or practical, as set out within the Unit Study Guides and Workbooks. Written, verbal and practical assessments make up the majority of assessments. |
