Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda (HLT60712)

If youíve already had a taste of Ayurvedic treatment by completing a Certificate IV in Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation, now itís time to devour the full course. Sunshine Coast TAFE offers an Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda. This in-depth course of traditional therapies covers diet, herbal prescribing, lifestyle adaptation to improve the health of an individual by treating them as an individual.

Youíll complete 25 competencies which includes 13 specialisation units. Youíll learn how to: perform Ayurvedic remedial massage assessment, treatment and lifestyle consultation; plan Ayurvedic herbal and treatment strategy; prepare and dispense Ayurvedic Herbs; provide Ayurvedic advice on nutrition; perform Ayurvedic health assessment; and manage work within the Ayurvedic framework.

This high level qualification will give practitioners full complimentary health prescribing capabilities. An Ayurvedic lifestyle will be a fascinating journey for both practitioners and their clients.

This course generally runs 2 days per week
Tuesdays 9:30am-12:30pm and Thursdays 9:00am-4:00pm

 
Career Prospects : Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant, natural therapist, ayurvedic massage therapist, lifestyle self improvement. Workers in health centres or self employed. 
Entry Requirement : You must have successfully completed year 12 (or equivalent) or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicates likely success in completing the course.

Please note: the Certificate IV in Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation is a pre-requisite for this program.


 
Assessment Information : Students will be assessed via various modes including; assignments, tests, oral questioning, observation and third party reports, Assessment is competency based and requires the completion of all projects and assignments, written and/or practical, as set out within the TAFE student handbook.
